A tea spoon! What is it that comes to your mind, when you discern a teaspoon? Morsel of salt, sugar etc ? Or a pastiche of all? Here it refers as a metaphor based on relationships. Propinquities run smoothly with the addition of a teaspoon of happiness, bicker and feuds. These are the beautiful emotions of our everyday life. But in Teaspoon, these emotions blow up into a disastrous end. It reflects two scenarios, the first is, how a woman is been trapped between desires and responsibilities within the four walls of her house. She is not a bad daughter-in-law, it’s just that she is frustrated and tired. Her husband could pull her out atleast for a weekend. A woman, comparatively is very strong creature of god, as she monikers every hook and nook of house.
The second, it talks about the increasing unconcerned attitude of children towards their parents. Children of present generation fail to take up the responsibilities of their parents, who have sacrificed their whole life for them. So here’s the short film “Tea Spoon” directed by Abun Bharucha Deohan, casting Bomie . E. Dotiwala, Vaquar Sheikh and Sree Swara. Kavitha, role played by Sree Swara as a middle class house maker, gets desperate over the sound, tak-tak-tak, made by her father-in-law. Over her uncontrolled circumvention, lamentably takes a faux pass that makes her feel rueful throughout her life. Her aged father-in-law who was bed ridden, had different ways to overcome his boredom, had never thought that it would become a reason for his imperative. This film will outmaneuver a confusing question, as which scenario suits the best to depict the above movie. This award winning short film is happening to be a common story in thousands of homes.
